 TIKAL The Maya of Mesoamerica reached remarkable intellectual and artistic heights during the Classic period (250 – 900AD). They built huge temples and pyramids, inscribed stone monuments, made major advances in mathematics and astronomy, and developed complex hieroglyphic scripts. Hotels inside the Tikal National Park…  The Hotel Jungle Lodge, located inside the Tikal National Park, offers 36 rooms and two junior suites each feature two double beds, private bathroom, porch and ceiling fan. The hotel offers a swimming pool and restaurant. Comfortable bungalows are nestled in exuberant nature. The hotel provides guided services to the archaeological sites, bird watching tours and transportation to many other sites in the area.  HOTEL TIKAL INN Located inside the Tikal National Park, the Tikal Inn has 17 rooms and bungalows with private bathrooms which are simple with traditional architecture. It features a swimming pool and is a 10 minute walk to the center of the Mayan ruins (Plaza Mayor).
